Well after talking to another person that has bought some of these, and talking to the seller, I decided to try the 14k and see how they were seller says they have 8,000 to 10,000 hr life. For the price worth a shot. I will post results after I receive them.

I received the bulbs today and installed them, very well packaged, They were Brand New. Did not say on the bulb where they were made just Reefoptics. I got the 14k. They look great. Hey if they only last 6 to 8 months I purchased 2 bulbs for the price of one.

I have been very interested in these bulbs. The seller did not seem to be very knowledgable on the ANSI style of the bulb. My Ballast works with M58 type. Did the packaging have any marking on it ?

No the package did not say anything on them or the bulb for that matter just Reefoptic, I have a Hamilton hood that I have had for about 12 years I think the ballast is M58 also.

They are just a little lighter blue than if you were running your actinics only.
