Reefpack 505

Hi Roger,

Your thoughts of the 505 on a 40 breeder mixed reef with sand bed. Thinking of going this route versus a sump set-up. I thought you had a different model in the pipeline also????

It would work, it is a bit of overkill, the 505 could easily handle a 75, 90 or even a 120. The new Reefpack 250 is another option, it would definitely be a fit and should be available in September, unlike the 505 it does not include an Osmolator so that would be a seperate purchase.

The 250 is sleek looking and the 9004 very clean. What to do.....

I am waiting for the 250 as well for my 30 Gal. I think the 9004 has a better design too.

After looking at several different options for my 20g sps nano, I to have decided to wait for the 250. And I already own an osmolator, so need to keep manual top off until then.

If I had a larger tank and did not already own an osmolator I would consider the 505. Owned a 9010 Tunze for the longest time, so imagine the 9011 is even that much better.
