My "banded trochus" are solid white/cream - look more like the "Astrea" snails I've been getting from Aquatic Criiter.

This is what I got from reefs2go (looks more like a turban snail):



No biggy - they will most likely do the job. Don't want to sound like a snail snob! The banded trochus are just prettier. LOL

Everything aclimated well and seems to be doing fine.

i also got the margaritas snails. our order spreadsheet say that tehy were $1.09. now the website says $0.89 and if you buy 20+ they are $0.50. they dont show up on teh buy one get one free list from teh website unless 20 is ordered but i am game at trying to get some more. however you see fit.

The ceriths and Nassarius, dusters and Urchin look good. The Margarita snails (5) look good, HOWEVER, they were supposed to be Buy 1 Get 1. If other folks have short orders, I say we let them know and see what they'll do about it.

Ha, that's too funny...it just changed in the last hour...I went back to the link Mixer posted on page 2 (i think), an hour ago it had a tumbnail photo of the margarita nails, among several other critters for B1G1...the list has now changed. But yeah, 20 marg snails for $9.99 is what is listed now, better than B1G1... OH well, I'm not going to sweat 5 snails...they just need to be notified.

Anthony, if they send any along with the dead item, you can have mine.

Their BOGO changes all the time. That link I posted to their site is dynamic and I am sure has changed since we made our orders. I get emails from them a few times a week with different offers.

Ok, so I got a response from Shawn this morning and he issued coupon codes as refunds for the items that were DOA or missing. He said to put those codes in the order form nest time we ordered and he would ship those items along with the order. Tim, they gave me a coupon code for $8.09 which is the cost of the goby. Let me know if anyone is wanting to order from them again. I can facilitate another order if need be. Just let me know how everyone wants to go about handling this. I can send you the individual codes or I can enter them on the next group buy. I need two more fish from there myself, so I am up for another order in a week or two.

i will see how good the margarita snails did while i was out of town, the 2 days that i saw them, they were cleaning away. might need to get several more. plus i need to see how the one armed emerald crab is holding up.

Well, the sea hare died the next day. I acclimated it and when I put it in the tank, it was eating the caulerpa. But when I turned the lights on Sunday morning, it was dead. There was several bristle worms eating it.

Oh well, no big deal really. I plan to setup a new tank with rock from my 80 for my clowns and will just dry the caulerpa rock out.

Sorry to hear that Steve. I have a feeling my yellow goby did not make it either. He was swimming at the surface for two days and then disappeared. The shrimp that i got with him, went to town on making his burrow after the second day, so I am not sure if they are together or not. I just caught a glimpse of the shrimp as he was doing some construction, but other than that he hides all day. I am sorry that this went so poorly for everyone.

For what it's worth, this is a very hard time of year to ship live stock...Cold temps (Jan/Feb) are much easier even, fall/spring best...

If anyone gets another order up either reeftopia or reefs2go, I'm down. Now that I got my tank cleaned, I need a cleanup crew. The last crew I got went into the 80

I only have like 3 snails in the 20 gal.

I also want to try another sea hare and maybe acclimate it a little longer this time.

i agree on reefs2go, if we get enough interest, i wouldnt mind trying to get it together since ameares8 did it last time....i belive they still have the free shipping over $150.
