refractometer calibration

when I test some distilled water with my refractometer (it has ATC), it is reading 5% -- in the instructions, it says I need to calibrate it at an amibient temp of 68 degrees and it will then be calibrated for all temps - how can I do this -- stick it in the fridge for a while?
