I'm sure they both function fine. The MD one looks cheaper and not built as well as the CP. I spent about $50-60 on mine.

I have the cheap one with the blue case. The cheap one's are all the same unit with different labels. It's works great & don't really see a need for a more expensive one in this case.

Be sure to order a bottle of 35ppt calibration solution. Should only be $5-$6 & it's the best way to adjust your new unit.
