I just bought a refractometer, but it's says i need to calibrate it with distilled water. Any ideas where i can find distilled water, i've tried a few stores but have come up empty handed.
Thats surprising - distilled water is a common item in the stores around my home. They keep it in the same isle as the drinking water. If you have a dehumidifier - it produces distilled water. I think you can use ro/di water as well.
Try the grocery or drug store, I have purchased distilled at both in my neighborhood. You could probably even boil some water and collect droplets by placing something over the pot and allowing the steam to build up until the water runs off, technically I believe that would be distilled water
It should be RO water and the refractometer will calibrate just fine using that.
Distilled water in the grocery stores around here only comes in 1 gallon jugs and is located right next to the bottled drinking water (which you do not want to use).
