Lexan is polycarbonate. I will work just fine in a refugium. Polycarbonate is more flexible than acrylic and suffers from yellowing from UV rays. But other than that it's just fine. The only reason I would see not to use it is if you need a tall weir where bowing would occur. The bow might be pretty bad and make the sidewalls joints fail.
