I am gearing up to stock my refugium to the hilt. I am curious as to what is the highest recommended substrate to put into the refuge. I was looking at LS, and the Mud. Do any of you have any suggestions? I have chaeto right now but im looking to seed it with the best of the best. Money really isnt an option, i just want the best stuff in there. Let me know. Thanks in advance.

Well if money is not really an option, that throws out using shredded dollar $100 bills for the substrate. I hear they work very well and might actually be cheaper than some of the other alternatives. 
Seriously though, I have always heard great things about using a nice deep bed of Mud -( not the stuff in the garden of course) mixed in with a bit of LS. The idea is to provide a nice location for all your pods, worms and the like so that they may do what they do best. I do not run a refugium yet myself (building one now), but based off my research thus far, this is what I am planning to do.
