refugium- copepods

ok, this might sound really stupid, but i was trying to figure this out today. I just finished my refugium with sand/rock ruble and a good variety of macro algae's. i can see some copepods in the rock rubble and algea, but cant figure out how they make there way to the display tank? i mean, is it posible for them to just go threw the pump?? i thought they would be killed by the impeller... i mean i dunno i just couldnt figure out how that would work. if anyone has an answer that would be awsome. thanks Jon

Yes they go thru the pump with no problem.
You do want to make sure that the pump has the foam filter taken out (if it has one.)
It will just get stopped up or become a nitrate factory anyway.

I believe it was Anthony Calfo that said copepods through the return pump is like a fly through a revolving door.
