I read about the magical 'rolling cheato' when I was starting my fuge.......I ended up plumbing a Mag3 directly to my 15 gallon refugium, having various Koralia sizes running in there, everything I could do to make the stuff tumble, never happened......well it would tumble for a few minutes, then 'escape' the current. Maybe someone out there has made their cheato tumble, but I've never seen it sustain a tumble, and I suspect it was all a cruel joke by pump and powerhead manufactures to move product. Just get some water moving through the stuff and watch it grow like mad.....I now send water to the fuge through a diversion off the main return pump, and not sure of exactly how much is flowing....more than a trickle, less than a cascade. Can't give you any scientific sounding number answer, just don't worry about tumbling the stuff, and dont have so much flow it is trying to push over the bubble curtain/overflow. Good luck.
