would anyone mind helping me create a separate tank refugium for my biocube?

i have tried making the back a fuge and it was not successful ( Dont have much room to hang a light because its so close to a wall ) and i cant drill into the glass because the tank is 2 years old and already has a small crack.

maybe have something like an intake pump and outake pump circulating trough the fuge and the tank.

to get an image, the biocube is on its stand up agaisnt the wall. it has a dresser to the left of it than is level with the middle of the tank. i was thinking about putting the tank their

any help would be appreciated

you cant use 2 pumps to make an out of tank sump because unless they are both PERFECTLY the same flow w/o any obstructions (impossible) one tank will overflow and the other will be left dry. You can use a hang on back overflow, or you can place the sump higher than the tank and have an overflow in the sump and a pump pumping water back up to the sump.

the overflow sounds like a great idea
how can i direct it into the tank though? i have no access to the back, it would have to be overflowing into the side.
also, would i have to create that pump, or can you buy them?

uhm, you might want to read up a bit more about aquariums and overflow systems. You can buy the pump. Do you actualy own this tank? it would be nice to get some help on this one from the other members of the forum because its very hard for me to explain.
