Refugium light question?

help how long to run the light? I do have this purple typ thin alge in the tank and it is killing my plant life? my light is on 24 hr a day.

I do run mine for 18 hours a day.

I run mine on a reverse cycle and for about 14hrs.

24 hrs a day. Not saying it's the right way to do it, just the way I do. Most like to run a reverse-daylight for PH stability reasons.

I run mine 12 hours, same as the tank lights

I run mine reverse of the tank lights, so 18 hours on.
