Refugium lighting

home depot clamp light with a spiral CFL bulbs with a 6500k rating is the best ive ever used and seen. ive installed it on well over 20 different systems. ive tried T5, ive tried LED but different macro just never grew the same as it did with the cheap clamp lighting a CFL 6500k bulb...

I Use 3 30w 7000k led flood lights ... They are like 20.00 each they also make them in 20 and 10 w which might be better for a small fuge. mine is a 90 gallon tank

I have used 6500K CFL's before with good growth, and now have a pair of Eshopps Curve refugium LEDs (also 6500K) growing chaeto "like no tomorrow" in a pair of Eshopps 3rd gen sumps (w/ refugium sections).

I also dose iron now, and that seems to have made a slight improvement in growth as well.

I have not tried the "horticulture spectrum" LED's (red and blue diodes mixed), but they seem to work for a lot of others as well.
