Hello all!
I have seen a number of posts about the DIY HOB Refugium mods, and have also watched some Youtube videos doing it step-by-step. However, I have a question. I have a fairly "stripped" old HOB filter that is a good size for my nano reef. Would it be possible to just place a filter sponge over the outflow that runs back into the tank, toss my rubble/chaeto in the basket, pods, add a fuge light, and go with it? I've also looked at things like the Finnex HOB breeder box/fuge, but have heard that it needs a bit of modding to work properly and I'd honestly rather NOT have to mod something a ton.
