I use just some standard strip lights on mine. Flow is just a maxijet 400 and I give you and exact figure but I have a small piece or two of lr and a couple handfuls of microalgae. But how much you put in fuge depends on the size of it. I have two large CPR HOB fuges on my 180 and a 10 gallon one for my 55.
I have a large CPR Aquafuge on my 72 bow. I started out with some Arag for base sand, some LR rubble and some bigger rocks. I had a good pod population in my tank but I added a bottle of tigger pods to the fuge when I set it up. I ordered the 7100K light when I ordered the fuge but I think that is overkill. I went to www.melevsreef.com and read up on the bulbs he suggested. I went to Home Depot and picked up an energy efficient spiral bulb rated at 5500 K and placed it over a new fuge/sump I made. It seems to be working fine but has not been up long enough for me to really tell. Melevs site is loaded with information and is a good read. My aquafuge also came with a MJ 400 which I believe pumps 90 gallons/hr.
