When cycling a tank should I wait to put in my chateo? Will this screw up my cycle and wait till it is complete then add it? I will be using 35 lbs dry rock and 10 to 15 lbs of live rock from my lfs to help the process and spread coraline.

I would wait, it won't help the cycle, once you've cycled and there's no ammonia in the tank you can put in the chaeto to grow some pods and remove nutrients. Don't be surprised if your chaeto doesn't grow well for a while, without a lot of fish producing waste there's not much to feed the plant.

I started my chaeto at six weeks and I think there would have been a benefit to starting it earlier.

I used partially cured live rock from the lfs and i think it released more nutrients than I expected. I was using a full photoperiod for the first weeks and got hit pretty hard with hair algae.

When I did add the cheato (6 weeks) it exploded with growth and I quickly noticed hair algae starting to wither. I think starting it at more like 2-4 weeks combined with less light in the display might have grown less hair algae, in my specific case.
