Hi, I made a 1.5' x 1.5' refugium in my sump to be able to put chaeto. My question is, does it worth to put live rocks and raise pods in there, or the return pump will kill them? And my second question is, what kind of sand and how high do I have to put in?

Yes it is worth it to put rock for a place to put pods to breed. They won't be killed by the return pump.

What is the water level at? If you want I would buy a nice sized bag of Live Sand, and go for a 4"DSB. Make sure you but some nessarius snalis in there for a cuc.
