refurbishing 65 gallon tank

So I'm finally getting back to this project and I'm trying to figure out the previous sump plumbing set up. It looks like maybe a dual Durso overflow but I'm not sure. The intake seems like it would sit too far below the water line and the air vents are on the exterior (no overflow box). Should I try to replicate the previous set up? Or do something else?

Try using the attach file function to load your picture. I have not been able to get the insert image function to work for a hosted image file.
