Regal Angel I.o.

I have purchased a Regal from the Maldives I am guessing. The store said it was from the Indian ocean. He is about 5 inches long and looked so good I could not resist. He is eating mysis and a few pellets even a bit of angel formala. Does anyone know of foods he might get excited over since his eating is minimal. I am lucky if he eats 4 mysis and 4 pellets per day. Maybe I should be happy he is eating at all? He is fascinated with finding caves and is very alert and not really shy. Thanks, BB

ive had my indo pac for about a year now. i feed her a mix of angel form, form 2, prime reef, mysis, & cyclo-peez all blended and soaked in garlic, zoe (vitamins), and selcon. i put nori on a clip about twice a week but she has only recently (last 3 months) been very interested. make sure that your lr is well established (lots of sponges, etc.).
when i first got mine, i bought a couple rocks of cheap zoanthids and a couple lobophyllia just in case she had those urges. i also put a couple rocks from my sump that were covered in sponges in the corners and under the rocks (out of the light). she rarely touched the zoas(just killed all the red ones i had) but occasionally nibbled the lobos. i saw her pick at the sponge rocks constantly in between feeding. the lobos eventually died but by that time she was exclusively eating what i fed her.
she is a pig, healthy, and of course my pride and joy.
good luck

This is typical for newly introduced Regals (or at least for the ones that eat :)).

One thing you can do is get a raw cockel or mussel, crack it open and leave the meat on the shell. Put it somehwere in a private area on the bottom (like in front of his favorite cave).

This gives him something stationary to nibble on throughout the day.
