Regal Angelfish question

I was wanting to try a Regal. I have a 180, but I have a coral beauty too. So my questions are, does the 1 angel rule only apply to the dwarfs, or all angels ? Second question is are these fish hard to keep? if so, why ? do they have trouble eating,etc.

I want to try one but i want some experienced people to chime in . Thanks !

Depends on the angel, they all have potential to be aggressive towards anything but it usually isn't an issue mixing large angels and dwarf angels. And the Regal is usually among the more passive of the large angels.

But the Regal is one of the most difficult fish to keep in captivity.

I suggest reading through the Regal Angel Primer before doing anything else. Good luck!

+1...I have 10 angels (6 large, 4 dwarfs) in my 450g DT...1 is a Regal and 1 is a Coral Beauty that was there first...they all get along fine.
I would suggest that you make sure the Regal is eating before you buy it

Ive had couple Regal angels in the past and all have gotten along with other angels. Both dwarfs and big. IMO one of the less aggreissive angels.
