Regal in a reef?

I kept one a few years back in my big tank, it was tough to get to eat prepared food for the first month so be prepared for that, also a 90 is pretty small for a regal imo.

But to answer your question the answer is really yes and no... Mine devoured every zoanthid in my tank but I didn't really care cause I hated the damn things and to me the regal was much more attractive than any zoa I've ever seen... But like any animal they all have a mind of their own. I've kept an Asfur in my reef for the past year or so and the only coral it will eat is pocillopora, so again another fair trade I think.

There is a regal thread floating around here somewhere, read through it and base your decision from that and your own confidence on keeping the fish. They are definitely not a beginner fish.

I had one that was a model citizen for over a year. Then, as if someone flipped a switch, it began to bang on my Favia and my Acans. Constantly. It now has a new FO home and continues to do well.

This is interesting to hear, as I've read they do best in reef settings. I've always wanted one and feel my 120 FOWLR would be a good home. This gives me some encouragement.
