Regimen for Dipping and Acclimating SPS

MTS Sufferer!
So I've had a Monti in my tank for a couple of months and it is doing great. Before I start to fill it with more SPS I want to get a protocol nailed down. I have searched and read many opinions on what should be done to new coral before putting it into the tank. What are your procedures for inspecting, treating, and qt of new corals. I do have a QT avaliable now (18 gal) but it's not lit very well. Any advice or links welcome!

my qt procedures are as follows for ALL corals, I have had aefw, monti nudies pyramelid snails and red bug in the past, while my qt procedures may seem extreme it's nothing compared to treating an entire tank for these pests

upon arrival ALL corals get broken off their base/plug, frags get mounted on a fresh plug colonies are left un mounted, then they get dipped in a coral-rx and interceptor mix. after 5-10 mins I use a maxi jet to "baste" the corals, I do this to aid in removing pests but I also find it helps remove slime before tanking. then they are placed into the qt tank(I generally dont acclimate(unless the salinity of the bag water is off more than .002)

I after dipping I inspect the reminants in the dipping container to check for pests(a microscope is wonderful for this process, plus looking at all the stuff that comes off the corals is kinda neat)

The folowing 2-4 weeks I repeat the dipping process somtimes using tmpcc instead of coral-rx(I try to avoid tmpcc on smooth skin acros as it tends to brown them out), leaving out the interceptor. when I am dipping I take this time while the qt tank is empty to change the egg crate and to acrape the tank, I replace the egg crate with a second set while the other set gets bleached.

my QT procedure is the same for clams except replace the dip with a scrub down with a toothbrush(a sonic-scrubber is even better and there only like $15)

tropic marin pro coral cure, its and iodine dip. as far as concentration I just add a few squirts(til the water has a slight yellow tinge)

the qt tank itself is a standard 40, 20t sump and a asm mini-g skimmer,it is lit by a 150w MH. all these equipment choices are because I either had them from a previous tank of they were free.
