My yellow male change from yellow to black. The two females are black. I wonder if he is trying to court. Its something how he looks just like the females right now.

They are probably all just coordinating their camoflage to your tank.

my horses change all the time, its normal. he could be courting but mine normally turn a brighter color during courting however

Sometimes this can be a signal something is not right in the tank when they turn black.

I would suggest you check your water perams . Then check your horses closely for anything out of the ordinary, such as not eating or rapid respiration,etc.

The water tests are fine and they eat great. Now he is tan and white stripes. every day he looks differnt
