Reinforced Rigid Tubing

New set up:

I have my VarioS-6 hooked up to the return overflow pipe (1" threaded male adaptor) using reinforced (metal mesh?) tubing from the pump up to overflow. I have stabilized the tubing connections using stainless clamps - however, I have small leaks on both ends of the connections: the Return Pump thread and at the overflow threaded connector.

Seems that the rigidity of the tubing is putting pressure on the connection! Anyone else have this problem? Is the solve creating a hard pipe PVC connection, or using regular flex 1" tubing?

Did you use proper PVC thread sealant paste on the threaded joints? (not teflon tape)

Threaded connections are for threads, not hose. You want a hose barb connection if you are using hose.
