Reinforcing Cabinet/Stand

Hello everyone,
I am currently in the planning phases of a new tank, IM Nuvo Fusion Pro 20 Peninsula. Dimensions are a little weird, 11.8"W x 30"L x 13"H so I was going to go with the stand provided by IM but the thing is $300 and black :mad2:
I can Plastidip it white but $300 is crazy for a stand this size.

Anyway, I found this cabinet at Target and a lot of similar ones across the web.

Question is, how would I go about reinforcing this thing to hold the weight of the tank? I figure this thing will be a good 150lb+ once running.

Open to suggestions, even a new stand/cabinet idea.

Virtually any/all furniture can support a 20g tank without needing reinforcements..
The one you posted very likely falls into the "not a problem" group..

Enjoy..

That makes me feel better. Especially coming from someone as resourceful as MacGyver

The listed specs showed "Max top panel weight: 50lbs" which scared me a bit, but I guess it's better for the manufacturer to list a lower amount to cover their butts.
Figure I can assemble it and jump on it for a while and see what happens!
