I think it should be revived once more! This time without anemones. You never posted the pics of how it looked as a live plant tank. I'd still love to see it.

This is what I believe happened while I was away one long weekend:
One of my large 16" diameter rose BTAs died, other corals started sliming/sloughing in response, causing a large deresa clam to spawn and then die, which did everything else in.
I came home to find the remains of the rose BTA on the bottom of the tank, the empty clam shell, and all my SPS RTN'ing.

Not much to prevent it then is there? Other than being home all the time....or is this somehow preventable?

preventable only if one had a huge oversized skimmer or less livestock i think

That huge cube was one of my favorite reef tanks...
