Just a few pics of what my tank used to look like before Hurricane Rita destroyed it. I'm in mourning!

I'm in Franklin. I actually live closer to New Iberia than Franklin. No, I didn't know about a reef club in Baton Rouge! Tell me more, I'm interested.

Thanks Thor,

I took the pics with a regular Kodak digital camera. I really miss my first tank. I'm in the process of stocking my tank again but I'm fighting slime algae. I only have a blue dartfish and a percula clown in it now. I also have about four corals. I'll won't add anything else until next month. I'm taking it slow because hurricane season just started up again and I don't want to take any chances.

I feel so bad for you and others who lost stuff in the hurricanes- hopefully this season will pass with no biggies.
Look forward to seeing great pics of your new tank too-
Greg

It's actually the Louisiana Reef Club. We have people from all over the state, and a couple close to you. Check the site out; it's a great local resource.

I live in south florida so i know what hurricanes do.... i was out of power 5 days after Wilma last year and 7 days after Charlie year before last. Didnt have a tank going during charlie, but after a few days someone let me borrow a generator last year just so i could run my tank.

Needless to say i bought myself a generator that will run my central air and about 85% of the rest of my house... so now that i am prepared, we wont get any Hurricanes this year (at least i can hope!)

Yeah, I'm prepared this year. My husband bought a generator and is looking into solar panels for possible backup as well. After a hurricane we don't always get to come home right away and that is where I would need a backup that comes on automatically.

Chris,

I did follow the link and signed up. Thanks for letting me know about the reef club. I was wondering if there was one in my area.

New tank

Here are some pics of my new tank. I've got two percula clowns, one blue gudgeon dartfish, and one starry blenny.
