remote DSB?

im having bad luck with macro algae since i swapped 90's. im wondering how much a remote DSB would really help, or if i should just wait and try macros again. chaeto got overgrown by GHA so i removed it and blacked out the sump.

i was considering a 6"x8-10" remote DSB for my 90. i was thinking around 6" deep. it would be in the fuge chamber of my sump, and id still have room for some macros once things calmed down. looking for feedback. thanks for any ideas. ive got a TLF reactor with rowa and a shallow sandbed in the display. nitrates at 0, phos at 0.

What you need to do with your chaeto and gha in your sump is run the lights 24/7 and once a week pull the gha, make sure you shake out all of the pods that will be in it and throw away the gha while leaving the chaeto to grow, this is what I do and it works very well. It's also keeping algae out of my DT so this is kinda the way an algae scrubber works. Keeping your lights out so the gha doesn't grow is also making your chaeto not grow.
