Remove scratch from glass tank

I've used Jewlers rouge with some luck in the past with my old tank. It's actually iron oxide and they sell it at Tap plastics.

It only worked for me with really fine scratches and does little to nothing with the deep ones. It'll take a lot of elbow greese though.

I buffed out the scratches when the tank was dry. I think I used water or glycerol to keep the powder in solution, to make a slurry. I wouldn't recommend buffing the tank with water in it. Jeweler's rouge is iron oxide.

I'd recommend just trying it on a small area of the tank just to make sure the buffing is to your liking before you do the whole tank. It only removed small scratches for me though.
