Removing a Condy?

Can any one give me advise on how to remove a Condy anenome. I am very new to the hooby and was amazed at the low cost of the anenome and with out doing research...he is not a good host for my clowns.

Currently his foot is in a LR and I cannot reach him and removing the LR isnt really an option. What is the best way to remove this little guy with out killing him. I would like to take him back to the LFS and buy a bubble tip.

point a powerhead at it and it may move, you might also be able to shade the light from it which will probably make it move also. Just be very carful taking it off the LR be patient, or you could rip the foot which could sentence it to death.

what type clowns?
there is no guarantee that the clowns will use the bubbletip, and the condy may host certain types of clowns...

I have black and white clowns. Has any one seen there black and white take to a condy?

Or what is a good anemone for black and white clowns?

I've had many different clowns with a condy, but never true or false percs...
my 3 occ. clowns spend their time in various frogsporn, hammer and duncan corals...ignoring my RBTAs

Is there anything I can do to persuade my clowns to host something?

Not really. I've read you can get a seaweed clip that looks like a clown, hang it by the nem, and the real clowns will get territorial and then host, but I've never seen it happen. If your clowns were tank bred it may take longer. I have a pair of percs, occys, and maroons. Maroons are the only ones that host btas naturally, but they took over 6 months until they moved in. Percs and occys never host btas in the wild, yet in my tank the percs hosted within minutes of release, and the occys within 3 days. So basically it's a crapshoot
