Removing a Haddoni Carpet

I have a club member who is wanting to get rid of their haddoni--they found that the anemone was attached to some of the bottom rock in their scape and also on the bottom glass. As soon as they began to try to remove, it deflated and retracted under the rock--what's the best way to remove it? Dismantle the scape? Or is there another trick that I can't think of?
