Removing Anemone Clone

My anemone split last week and the clone is in the same rock. I can see it's foot but its been back in there since it split. The main anemone has its tentacles fully extended and seems happy. I was thinking about taking the clone back to the store and see if they will take it because I only have a 25 gallon tank and I also want corals. Is there a way to get the nem out of the rock without hurting it?

Take a power head first and aim it at the foot and it should become dislodged, just becareful not to dislodge the one next to it,, if that doesn't work tryprying thefoot up gently with your finger, working all the way around... this should work

Woah. Don't try and dislodge a week old clone. I'd give it at least a month before disturbing it. You'll risk killing it.

Yes give him at least a month to heal up from being ripped in half. Im sure that you would want time to heal if you ripped yourself in half. But I have always found the icecube in a ziplock bag has worked for me. Do not put the icecube right on it with out it in a bag.

Okay I'll wait a while then. Is it normal for them to stay in the rock? I don't think it has moved at all since it went in there.
