Removing Clam From Live rock question

I have a 6" blue maxima clam that has attached itself to my live rock but it has turned around backwards so you cant really see the colors. Can I just take a razor blade to the foot or is there other techniques? Thanks heres a pic

Its moved further back since this photo

You could lean the clam to one side and cut it with a razor blade as close to the rock as possible cutting the threads won't hurt the clam they will grow back in a week or 2.The other option is move the rock it's attached to. I

Be careful though. This is much harder to do on a rock. Cut only the threads and not the foot. BTW, that is a crocea :)
