removing corner overflows?

Hi,

Is it possible to remove corner overflows on a used tank? (and then add BA overflow?)

Could I use 1 bottom hole for return?

Can I use other one for water changes?

cheers!

Most are just siliconed on. Lots of people remove them. You can use the predrilled holes that were in the overflow but I suggest sealing them up and drilling new holes in the back. Having the holes up high on the tank limits the amount of water that will leak out if there is a problem with the plumbing.

If the tank is used, there may be some more or less permanent marks from where the silicone was, but you can remove the silicone with a bit of elbow grease. I've read of some people combining the corner overflows with a coast to coast, but my overall impression is that it's better just to get rid of them.
