I need to remove some frag plugs...Once the glue has been encrusted over and the coral is encrusting over the plug, what is the best way to remove the frag without damaging it?

I grab them at the base with my bone cutters and then twist the handle to pry them off. You win some you lose some, haha

Thanks Brett. Kinda what I figured... Wish me luck. I don't have any bone cutters yet do you think a Leatherman would be too brutal?

Once they have grown over that much, I just cut off the stem and glue it where I'm going to place it. It will keep growing out a bit more and you won't be able to tell that the plug is there.

I considered that option but was afraid I would do more damage to the coral if I slipped or something. What do you use to cut the stem?

The same thing as mentioned before, the bone cutters that you can pick up at any site that sells fragging tools. I've actually started using them a lot lately. They come in very handy.
