Removing gsp from zoa stalk?

My gsp has grown over the base of a few zoa. Can I peal the gsp off of the zoa stalk without hurting either?

I've had gsp grow right over and cover other corals.
You may want to scrape the gsp off, or it will just happen again.

Thanks, I attempt to remove, might be easier to remove zoa as 90% of the rock is gsp. iPhone pic. Gsp looks funny when it's retracted. Hard to believe how it stores the green whatever inside that.
