removing LR Q?

i've got kind of an odd question. my tank has been up and running for 2+ years...what would happen if i removed all my LR? i've been reading through some of the cooking LR threads and as far as i can tell my tank should be fine for a few months w/o LR, but i want to make sure. basically, rather then cooking the LR i have now i'd like to replace it with good quality base rock. so i want to make sure it's okay to remove the LR. i would remove everything but any small pieces of LR that any corals are attached to, and maybe one piece of LR, then rerplace the rest with good quality BR. also, any suggestions on where to get BR? right now i'm looking at reefer rocks...i can't seem to find HIrocks, they still around?

TIA

www.hirocks.com whats wrong with the rocks you have?is it the shape and size of them you dont like?Go ahead and bite the bullet if your going to do the rest. Its worth it.

I kept about 20 lbs pf L/R in my tank when the rock was cooking in a rubber made tub for 6 weeks. If ya got good flow and filtration the tank will be fine with your fish and coral in the meen time.Check out how I did mine.

oops...didn't see this part.
well, the rock i have does not have very good shape to it, currently my tank is way too rockpile-ish. i want to open up the aquascape to improve my flow, and to improve the overall look of my tank. i want to build some sort of crazy pilar, arch, PVC frame, acrylic rod kind of aquascape.
