Removing Mushrooms?

I have green mushrooms that are growing like wild fire, they are starting to interfere with more expensive corals. I didn't want to remove all of the rockwork to get them out. Any suggestions?

Just try and use a razor blade or a small pair of scissors and cut them as close to the base as you can. Then just smother the remaining tissue with some epoxy. Pick & choose your battles though. A mushroom that's laid out flat on the rock can be a bugger to remove, but if you ever see one with a stem exposed cut it quick. GL.

I feel your pain; I spent a lot of time removing mine. The lesson I learned was to avoid putting animals in my tanks that I would later want to remove.

Take a hyperdermic needle filled with vinegar and inject it into the base of the shroom give it 5 mins and boom shroom detaches and dies

I mixed salt water and high dose of kalk. I soaked the rocks for 15-20 minutes. It was a test run hoping not to kill the live rock. Rock with coral attached, I just held the rock leaving the coral exposed. I only did the rocks with the mushrooms attached. It worked fine as far as I can tell. Everything survived. Keep in mind, that the mix will kill all coral if submerged.
