Removing Ricordeas

Hey guys, I have some rics that I would like to relocate in my tank but I do not know how to get them off of the existing rock they are on. I cannot remove the rock from the tank, so that is not an option. Anyone have any tricks for getting them to let go of the rock they are on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

there are many ways to get them to reattach if you do have to remove the polyp by itself, some much better than others but many can work

but........ the first best option to try IMO is to get a super heavy duty razor blade and try to cut/shave the rock out from underneath the coral. its very low stress to then glue it to another rock as you are just gluing rock to rock and the ric is left pretty much attached. A pair of angled dykes can possibly cut the rock out from underneath as well. It all kind of depends on the density of the rock it is on
