Removing salt?

On my fixture I have salt on the reflectors and lights, whats the best way of removing this, I tried a cloth but no avail. I was thinking vinegar

Vinegar would probably be the best solution. You'll really want to get something to cover the lights and reflector, though. The salt can permanently discolor the reflector, reducing its effectiveness, and it can't be good for the lights either.

I wipe might lights and reflector down once a week. The plastic cover that comes with the lights gets cloudy real quick. So I don't use it.

i use warm ro di water and a rag.... since i have the lumenarcs and they are perminantly mounted in my tank i try to clean them monthly.... salt will ruin and pit the reflectors..... keep it clean and you wont have to worry about replacing them as often...
