Rena Filstar micro bubles

I have been using this filter for two months now seems to put out micro bubles out of spray bar. All conections tight ?

Canister filters are more for freshwater tanks. If you use them on a SW tank with the bio-balls and sponges, they become nitrate factories. It's ok to use them with carbon media ONLY, and for flow, but microbubbles can be a problem. Do you have a protein skimmer? If not, you could sell the canister filter, and buy an Aqua C Remora with the surface prefilter add on, which acts as a bubble trap.

Make sure it's not pulling any air. If there are any 'leaks' you'll get bubbles.

If you turn the canister off for a few minutes and rock the canister back and forth any air within the canister should excape.

Next time you take the canister apart make sure the top is tightly sealed and make sure the canister is entirely filled with water before turning it on (wait a few minutes and rock it as discussed before). If you turn the canister on before it has entirely filled your gong to get periodic bubbles.

No leaks seems more in late day first thing in morming hardly any.
