Renew Your Dues and get a chance to Win

Well in an attempt to get the majority of people to renew there dues for 2008 before the frag swap so we can have the cards made and also enjoy the swap I am offering a weeks vacation for a drawing in December. What I will do is draw one name other then mine out from the people that renew early. The weeks vacation will be a RCI week so the person who wins will have to contact them and get availability. You can see all the locations at www.rci.com There are a few fees that RCI charges that you will be have to pay when you book but I will donate the week. I have a few since we had to cancel our vacations on our timeshares this year. Any questions just post and I will try to answer them.

Some one had a problem with doing a membership with their spouse because the amount from the website if fixed. If you want you can directly PayPal your dues to M_T_R_C@yahoo DOT com. Also if you put your wife on I will put both names in the drawing.

Isn't this illegal? You're basically saying you cannot enter the contest unless you pay for your membership.

Federal Law states "A sweepstakes is a promotion in which a prize is awarded to a participant on the basis of chance, not skill. That prize can be monetary or non-monetary, such as free product or a trip. The sweepstakes sponsor cannot require people to purchase a product or to invest “considerable” time or effort in order to enter the sweepstakes."

OHHH OK Headdoc I will open this free gift to those who don't want to be part of our club all you have to do is fill out a application and mail it in with no dues and the comment That You don't want to be a member and I will be sure to put it in the drawing. I really hope you have a nice time be the raffle police for this club are there any others that you participate in also.

I vote we call this a "raffle" rather than a sweepstakes as HeadDoc has so kindly decided to brand it... That should avoid any silly issues.

If the cost of a ticket happens to equal the cost of a years worth of MTRC dues, I say "Wow - What a coincidence!!" You say the deadline for buying a ticket is the end of the year? Another coincidence...

If you really want in the "raffle", pony up and buy yourself a ticket - see the club membership as a free added bonus to your "raffle" ticket purchase...we're generous folk around these here parts.
