renigade rotifers

Just emptied my saltwater mixing tank and there was all this reddish smutz. Checked some under the scope, and it was a bazillion rotifers. Growing in saltwater, but with absolutely no food, unless food comes with the Instant Ocean.

We struggle to culture them, to provide them with nourishment and a good home, and sometimes they crash on us.

Here, they grow without food, warmth or any enticements whatsoever. This tub gets washed out every week. Go figure....

Would it be a kind of a holly graal ? Self-caring rotifers !!!!!
Save some for a try and see how they go.

Too bad you might have discovered just the super rotifers fish breeders desperately desired
