Replace 7240.27

Roger, I think my 7240.27 driver needs replacing. The pump stopped working, have an alarm and the driver gets very hot. We have cleaned the pump, it starts very slowly and then stops. Within 60-90 seconds the driver gets hot.

How do I make sure it is the driver and how can I replace?

Do you have a second pump you could swap drivers from? That would be the only way to check it, otherwise I would send it in. There is some risk you could damage the other driver if the pump was the culprit. I would say for sure the driver is bad, but the pump could be as well.

Worried it could damage the second driver. I think some water got in the driver, snails blocked the return and some water got under the tank in the area where the driver was. We caught it within seconds, but there was water there.

Is it possible to repair if water damage? Should I send the entire unit, pump, drivers etc?

The driver cannot be repaired, but we can replace it if the pump is OK.
