Does anyone know how to replace a glass pane of an aquarium? I have a glasscages tank (180 gallon) with a cracked bottom pane, is it possible to replace? Anyone know a professional in the Delaware valley PA area?

It is possible. Since you are replacing it... Think about drilling it.

ANY good glass company can help you out.

They should be able to do all that you need. JUST MAKE SURE that you get the right silicon for it and give it to them. If they use their own they may just use something that will leach for years.

Just make sure you use something without any mildewcides or fungicides. If you Google you will find that most large silicone manufacturers include a silicone that is stated to be specifically for aquariums in their product line-up.

Its in the back right corner through one of the bulkhead holes contained inside the overflow box. The crack goes to the outside edge of the tank but the side panes are intact. I guess I could use it as a tank without an overflow, or I could drill the back for a gl*******s overflow kit.

The first time I called GC they said I could use the tank as a reptile tank, I called back today and GC said I may be able to silicone on a new piece of Glass with the same dimensions as the inside of the overflow box. I would place this piece of glass in the overflow on the bottom. What do you guys think?
