Can anyone tell me if it's possible to replace only the ceramic shaft on a Gen-X PCX-55 pump? The shaft on mine broke inside the impeller, at right about the midpoint. The front half of the broken shaft fell out under its own weight. However, the back end seems to be quite firmly affixed inside the impeller. If it is possible to replace only the shaft, does anyone know where I could purchase one?
I do know that a complete replacement impeller is just over $30. Just looking to be efficient with my reef money.
