replaceing RO membrain

Do any of you clean the inside of the membrain houseing?

I give the whole unit a thorough disinfecting (more than just the prefilter canisters) about once a year by removing the membrane and soaking the housing and all other parts in bleach water. We use our unit for drinking water also so I feel it's important to disinfect like this. If your just using it to supply your tank you may not need to go this far. I would do it when replacing the membrane though. Just make sure you rinse the bleach off thoroughly before installing the membrane.
