Replacement pump for Reeflo

Hi, guys! So it's been nearly two years since I set up my 120 and the Reeflo MH1450 return pump croaked. These are discontinued (due to overheating issues, go figure) BUT that's totally cool because I just discovered that an EcoTech Vectra would integrate into the system software with my Radions and Vortechs. (This makes me giddy, yay user-friendly tech! Although I still hate my RKL!)

Does anyone have the Vectra? Pros/Cons?

Yes, DSmack, I will FINALLY hook up the calcium reactor! :lolspin: And if I'm too dumb to plumb I will gladly pay you in beer!

I have the Vectra. Been running it for a month or so. Super quiet. Nice flow. Low electricity usage. IMHO, I see little need to hook it up to my ReefLink. I mean, I am using it only as a return so I dont need the vary speed crap. Either on or off.

I would say the Vectra is a good return pump. But beware. The threads on the in/out are not threaded the same way as those you would get from Lowes Depot. Have to either use their included quick compression fittings or order the BPT adapter with the pump which is $10.

Any DC return pump will work nicely they are plug and play. And you can buy 3 or 4 jebao pumps for the price of one name brand pump.

Yeah, I was looking at some of the newer Reeflo models before the shiny bells & whistles of the Vectra caught my eye. Too many options to choose from isn't always a good thing for me. Haha
