Replenishing clean up crew

Hey guys,

I have a 28g jbj. I am in the midst of winning the battle with hair algae. Tank is looking a lot better and healthier. Corals rebounding nicely.

I have a flame hawkfish, percula clown, and purple pseudochromis. No more fish will be added. I also have an open brain, some favia frags, gsp, Kenya tree corals.

Pretty simple. My question is what should I add as far as a clean up crew? Just for routine maintenance. Maybe a good hair algae/Detritus eater. Tank has been running almost a year now. Have had a bunch of dwarf ceriths and florida ceriths that have slowly died off over the months. Don't like Astrea snails as I am not thrilled constantly having to flip them back over.

Thanks

Kevin

I have heard of emerald crabs eat hair algae and also lawnmower bleeny but you don't want any more fish

Just keep doing what your doing if things are going well. If you want to add a few snails that's fine, but don't overdo it. As far as detritus goes, you can't beat a siphon for that. GL.

I highly recommend Trochus snails btw. These things are absolute workhorses IME.

No problem IME. Then again, I don't think I've ever seen my Trochus snail on it's back before. This thing has been with me for at least 3 or 4 years now too.

Nice good to know. I think I am going to scoop up a few ceriths, trochus, and possibly an emerald crab for some detritus help. Anyone have any other nice additions? Remember no shrimp, due to the flamehawk.
