Non photosynthetic gorgonians NEED to be fed at least 10-12 times a day with mostly zooplankton. Cyclopeeze are also an excellent source of food for larger polyp gorgoninans. It would be ideal to feed them continuosly with a auto feeding system. A lot of people use a diy minifridge autofeeder. Look up aquabacs build thread to find the details. Also check out the sticky about continuous feeding for filter feeding corals. They require moderate to high flow as well. Lighting is not a big issue. Just personal choice. Just remember that with the extremely high nutrient content of nps aquariums that a bright light will be a cause for major algae blooms.

I agree that NPC need to be fed on quite a regular basis but, not that often. I have a blueberry gorg that I only feed twice a week. It's growing to the point that am fragging it about once a month. I am using sps coral grow food and using a syringe to target feed it

+1 on that. I made the mistake of buying into the whole 8 to 12x a day thing with a gorg I purchased and ended up with a nitrate spike. I've since dropped to 3 to 4x a day and it's doing fine. I would feed it less but at this level, I have no nitrate problem.
